Conditions for hire of The School House.

(1) Authority to sign

Bookings can only be accepted from persons over 18 years of age and will be made strictly in order of the deposits received. The person who signs the booking form certifies acceptance of the conditions on behalf of all persons included on the form. Sub-letting or transferred letting will not be permitted. Only the maximum number of persons shown on the property details and listed on the booking form may occupy the Property

(2) Booking

A booking deposit of £200.00 should be sent with the reservation request. The balance and Security Deposit (Good House Keeping Deposit) should be received 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. In the case of cancellation after bookings have been confirmed, the booking deposit is returnable only subject to the accommodation being re-let. If the property is not re-let, the balance of the full tariff may still become payable, at the sole discretion of the owners.

(3) Good Housekeeping Deposit (Security Deposit)

All bookings will be subject to a £100.00 Good Housekeeping Deposit that will be held against the Property being returned in a presentable condition i.e. similar to it’s condition at the start of your holiday save reasonable wear & tear. It is not our intention to charge for minor breakage of drinking cups or glassware. Deposits will only be withheld where careless behaviour has resulted in unreasonable damage occurring. Deposits will be refunded within 30 days of your holiday ending.

(4) Cancellation

When you book your holiday you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you are unable to take your holiday, then you are liable to pay a cancellation charge and this could amount to the total cost of the holiday.

(5) Duration

Accommodation is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. This enables essential cleaning to be carried out and ensures the quality of the accommodation is maintained.

(5) Breakages and damages

Guests should report to the Caretaker/Housekeeper any damage or breakages that occur during their stay. An appropriate charge may be levied for the repair or replacement, at the sole discretion of the owners. The owners reserve the right to enter the property at reasonable times for the purpose of checking the buildings and contents. Outgoing tenants are asked to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition with all furniture in its original position.

(6) Electrical or gas appliance faults

Electrical, gas and or other failures must be reported immediately to the Caretaker/Housekeeper, tenants must not attempt to effect repairs themselves. In the event of a suspected gas leak, tenants should call the gas authorities on 0800 111 999 immediately and follow the advice given.

(7) Non-availability of the property

If, for any reason whatsoever, the accommodation becomes unavailable, the owner will refund all monies paid in full, the owner will have no further liability towards you.

(8) Complaints

In the unlikely event of any dissatisfaction with the accommodation, complaints should be reported to the Caretaker/Housekeeper within 24 hours of the problem arising.

(9) Visitors

Whilst special friends and family visitors are welcome, ‘The School House’ will not cater for big family get-togethers and the other residents of Old School Court have a right to expect quiet enjoyment. Please respect this by minimising noise and ensuring children are well behaved. Ball games are not allowed in the car parking area.

(10) No-Smoking policy

Visitors are reminded that smoking is not permitted in ‘The School House’.

(11) Pets

We regret, no pets are allowed in ‘The School House’.

(12) Motorhomes & trailers

Parking at Old School Court is for cars only. Trailers are not permitted to be stored on site at any time and parking bays simply will not cope with large vehicles such as a motorhome.

(13) General

If you fail to observe any of the above conditions, the owner will have the right to require you to vacate the property at once, without any compensation becoming payable to you.
